AlzDetect
A live research platform for Alzheimer’s-related MRI analysis: Vision Transformers, explainable attention maps, and a system you can inspect.
The pipeline
From a scan to a map of what the model used.
01
Upload an MRI scan
A brain MRI is submitted to the research platform — the start of a pipeline, not a clinic visit.
02
Vision Transformer analysis
A ViT architecture processes the image: the same family of models used in the underlying research, not a prompt over a scan.
03
Stage, confidence, attention
The system returns a four-stage classification, a confidence score, and attention maps that show which regions influenced the output.
Four-stage classification: Non-demented · Very mild · Mild · Moderate.
What it is
- A deployed RimansTech research platform for Alzheimer’s-related MRI analysis.
- A line from academic work in explainable Vision Transformers through training, evaluation, an API and a frontend.
- A system people can inspect: architecture, attention maps, and experimental evaluation documented on the live site.
- Decision-support exploration — a tool for studying what a model attends to, not a replacement for a clinician.
What it is not
- Not a certified medical device.
- Not a diagnostic product, and not a clinic.
- Not a licence to diagnose, treat, or replace a qualified clinician.
- Not an NHS service, and not a claim of regulatory approval.
AlzDetect is the research line that connects a question in explainable medical imaging to a working system: data, training, evaluation, attention maps, an API, and a frontend. Experimental evaluation is documented on the live platform. We do not repeat those figures here as clinical claims.
